Broncho-Alveolar Lavage
With the new Mucorex for mucus extraction and broncho-alveolar lavage, Novatech provides extra safety for medical staff in hospitals and laboratories.
Mucorex has a new closing system consisting of a screw cap and luer locks on both tubes allowing aseptic removal of the tubes, extraction into a closed, leak-proof system and safe transport.
Mucorex comes sterile in a peelable pouch with protective packing.
A set contains: transparent bag, container, tubes with connectors and luer locks, double sided tape, extra screw cap.
Depending on the intended use, Mucorex is available with a net capacity of 40 and 60 ml for fiberscopic extraction and 300 ml for broncho-alveolar lavage.
In order to avoid reflux, the container must be filled with no more than three quarters of its maximum capacity.
The transparent bag, that keeps the container in an upright position during the procedure, can be fixed with a provided double sided tape.
